Will your soft pallet eventually mold to a denture if it tight in one place?

The roof of my mouth hurts where your soft palate is because the denture is pressing upward to it. The denture would not create a seal so the technician created a lip that turns upward at the end. The suction is awesome but it is really sore right now. Will the soreness eventually go away? Will the soft pallet eventually mold to it. Pls help me if you can???

I think eventually it will. My dentures create a lot of soreness and raw spots but I think we get used to it. Just takes a while. Some people suffer this, others don't so it seems patient specific. I use ibuprofen and oragel on raw spots, might help. You have kind of a unique issue with the customized lip, regular dentist checkups until your mouth gets used to it might be beneficial just to make sure nothing is going wrong

It took a while for my mouth and gums/pallet to adjust to the dentures. If they tweaked them then I'm assuming with time your mouth should adjust. Its very frustrating at first. But I have to say my dentures fit so snug and well that I have no need to use adhesive on top or bottoms. If You're not finding any adjustment at all within a few weeks I'd definitely go back. Best of luck to you!

The other thing would be to use cushion grip to soften the blow between your dentures and gums. I have used it for years and they just came back out with it. Was off the market because company was trying to sell off part and said it was not profitable for them. Another company bought the rights and it is being sold at a higher price but BACK!!!.

I have new dentures. There is a tiny gap between pallet and dentures. Food gets trapped under the dentures. After eating I have to remove my dentures to clean them. Is there any way to build up the dentures to fit more snuggly to the roof of my mouth? Other than that I love my new dentures.
