Has There Been a Fixodent Ultra Formula Change

Fixodent Ulta has become my go to. I find it very effective. I just started my second tube. I noticed that the color of the tube changed from gold to blue. It still works well but I feel like it is irritating my gums. Could be I am just in need of an adjustment but was wondering if it could be the Fixodent. Will take a break today and use Secure.

Hi Nancy - is the entire tube color blue? I only ask because the Fixodent Ultra tube is mostly gold with a patch of blue near the bottom of the tube, and in that blue patch should be a picture of a padlock with the words "Max Hold" underneath it. If your tube is all blue, it would seem that a mistake was made by the manufacturer. Look up Fixodent Ultra on Amazon & compare your tube to the pic on Amazon. Should be the same.

This is the tube. Says Fixodent Ultra, but... It came in a two pack from Walmart. Tube color not the same as online.

I see...maybe Fixodent did make some kind of change to the formula (I'm just brainstorming here). I take it the Secure does not cause you irritation. If you try the Fixodent again & it irritates, they very well may have "tweaked" the formula. Meantime, couldn't hurt to check in with your dentist & let him know about it as well as what he says regarding an adjustment. Best of luck!

I also called Fixodent. I'm going to try another tube and see what happens. The person I spoke to didn't know of a packaging change.

As an update, I just received my new order from Amazon and the tube is the correct blue and gold.
