Another update. It all went wrong!!!!

I went in on the 30th. They numbed me up. All was going the teeth were coming right out. I had 3 decayed ones left. They went to pull them and i just started screaming hollering and shaking in pian felt like my brain hurt. And they did enough shots to numb a hundred teeth they said and it didnt work for these couple a teeth. So i cam back today morning they had me on ativan said it should help. They had a very great dentist from Virginia to help and they had a "last resort" numbing shot said this one shot will numb it faster and nearly my whole face. It did. Just not the teeth.... so now im half toothless till feb 19th when i go in to oral surgeon to get put to sleep

Gosh!! Bless your heart. But they should have sent you to a surgeon and put you out too began with. All this would be behind you. You would have almost healed by the 19. Good luck on that.

Daniel I am so sorry you are going through this nightmare
Yes you should be completly  asleep.  I hope they know what they are doing.
Lets hope it all goes smoothly this last time.  Only a few teeth are left to remove so it will probably be fine
You should not have had to suffer like this
Let us know how you are.

I am sorry you went through this.  What I found when I had mine done was the numbing shots don't take very well if your teeth/gums are infected.  I had 20 shots of novocaine and still had some feeling but I didn't want to get put out so I was Ok for the 2 teeth they needed to pull.  Sounds like they may have waited too long to make the decision for surgery.  Hopefully all will go better.

Sorry u went through this, i am a person that is frantic with needles and have anxiety attacks but they game me 4 tablets 1 to take night before going in to calm me then 1 a hr before the pulling ,then 1 right at time of pulling and 1 after it was all over ,it toke my dentist Mr Roth Lewis of Aspen Dental in Dothan Alabama 45 minutes to pull 25 teeth and put my temporary dentures in and i walked out a friend drove me home and we watched movies within 24 hrs went back and they toke them out and i drove home and went grocery shopping and completely forgot i had dentures and bought my grapes and chicken fingers , but three days after getting them all pulled i was eatting on medium food like pretzels ,and grapes. I just got my liners today and eatting great and withinn the 24 hrs i was talking like i was talking when j began the journey. But my dentist gave me something better than valum and 15 shots and i still had baby teeth and 1 tooth so infected that the infection affected my sinus cavity, ears, head .... it was horriable .
But i can finally smile now

You look beautiful CP, and the worst is behind you!  Sure nice to be able to smile with confidence again isn't it?

Hang in there Daniel!  Like CP, I had some serious infections, though mine were in my jaw.  The dentist cancelled two other appointments that day to dig them out.  I have a very high threshold of pain and I nearly went through the roof when he began drilling down there.  The depth was such that it caused some nerve trauma and it was almost four months before I regained complete feeling in my jaw!  Nevertheless, now it is all over and I feel confident and healthy.

They should have put your out in the first place. This kind of thing can be traumatic. It's better to be out.
