Partial denture

Had my lower teeth pulled last week. Been given a partial denture . But having touble getting it in myself. I know it fits as dentist got it in for a few seconds. Just scared as feels massive. Tried putting it in a few times but just doesnt feel right as its plastic , something alien in your mouth. Im at a loose end with it. I know its day one. But videos ive seen people are just poping them in like no problem. But i try drop it in and then panic have to get it out. How do you conquer this? I want them in and trying so hard.

Hi. I am two weeks with a flexible upper and lower. It's getting better, but (especially with upper) I do have trouble taking them out! I still have sores, get adjustment, get a new sore (frustrating), but I struggle a bit to take out. Putting in isn't hard, but I do press gently as it can hurt near the sores.

My bottom is actually great. For the first few days I was nervous to put them in, but now I am pretty much at the point where I can pop it out with my tongue. A couple sores, nothing too bad, stays put.

I am a bit frustrated as I can still only chew certain things, otherwise it digs into the sores. I know it's only 2 weeks, but man, when do the sores stop?

Good luck to both of us!

Are you feeling any better? I'm having complete upper and lower extractions on the 30th. I'm so nervous!
