I took my dentures out to clean them and I'm having a lot of pain.... is it normal? I got 26 teeth pulled Saturday and my dentures the same day

Yes, unfortunately you will experience bouts of pain. I had the same procedure as you. I did lots of bags of frozen peas on my face and cheeks. I wore winter gloves to hold the bags. It will pass. Hang tight.

It's going to hurt a while. I was not allowed to take my uppers out for 48 hours and when the dentist did, it was so painful I thought I was going to scream. I'm 2 months out and still sleep in my uppers because my upper gums swell (full plate on top, minor partial on bottom). I find it's less painful. I take them out several times a day but for short periods. Once a week I soak the uppers overnight. I honestly spent the first week home on pain meds. It does get better. Just don't try to do too much too soon. I lived on water and tomato soup!!! You can do this!
