Knobby gums

I am 4.5 months post extraction, 8 teeth, uppers only. I lost several others earlier in life. I have one spot that is taking forever to heal complelety but otherwise I am healed really well...EXCEPT. My dentist keeps saying my gums are knobby but he will not, or cannot, explain to me what that means or how it will affect me further down the road. My gum looks like a babies mouth only more uneven. My denture is NOT an immediate, I had to have a second plate made (don't ask) but even the new denture does not seal and adhesives irritate the unhealed spot. I am concerned this could be a serious problem and my dentist keeps brushing me off. I saw him today and he acted like I should understand. I don't and web searches are turning up zilch. Anyone have any ideas?

Id either go to a different dentist for answers or even a denture place .

Well, that's scheduled for right after the beginning of the year to be evaluated for implants, but I am still curious if anyone has ever heard the terminology used.

So sorry I don't have a solution. When I first started healing my lower jaw had exposed bone really painful skin finally grew over it. Best of luck. Btw you are beautiful!

Awww thank you. I actually smile a lot now. Loving the denture, and happy I did it! No exposed bone thank god. Just really really bumpy.
