Immediate denture sores

I just got immediate dentures on Monday, I had about 25 extractions, the dentures are causing me to have a lot of sores, I’ve gone in for adjustments twice and I’m still on pain meds. I’ve been rinsing with salt water several times a day but it doesn’t seem to be helping the sores. Is it okay for me to use OTC pain relief like benzodent or orajel? I can’t get ahold of my dentist to ask but the only reason I can think of for why I wouldn’t be able too is because my extractions aren’t fully healed.
