Im on day #4 after having 13 teeth removed

Hi everyone, im on day number 4 after having 13 teeth removed, 3 fillings and a full clean and polish.
I am on here as i am very anxious and stressed out due to a dissolveable stitch coming out of one of my gums. It has now left a slight gap, no blood or foul taste just yet but i am worried. I suffer from mental illnesses and cannot stop thinking about it.
Can someone please tell me what to do? I have rang my surgeon but he was in theatre, the nurse on the phone said to just pop in 2moro when i can.
Should i be worried?

The stitches are dissolvable. I am on day five and had the same thing happen, bled a little. Keep doing the salt water rinses.

Hi Adam,
This happened to me too after my first extractions and I freaked out. But the sutures can loosen if the swelling of the tissue goes down.
Best wishes to you for your healing process!

Hi ladies, i really appreciate all the speedy replies and great information.
The only problem i have is that i have stitches on either side aswell as the front.
Still cant believe it as i am a 27yr old bodybuilder that shouldnt have this problem but thanks to a neglectful/violent father that made me drink bleach as a child i now have said problem.
Im trying my best to keep debris out of the holes but it is proving impossible, im really worried i have missed some whilst mouthwashing and cleaning and am afraid the gum might heal over said debris causing even more problems.
I know it sounds daft but like i said i suffer from anxiety and crap.
I went back to hospital and the surgeon said i am over cleaning which may be the reason stitches have come loose earlier than normal
Anyway ive bothered you all enough but really am gratefull for all your messages and kind words
Any other advice is greatly welcomed thankyou

Hi Adam,
No bothering at all!
I think it's normal and we all freaked out a bit during the process!
It gets easier after a while and you can relax a little. After all it is a difficult thing to go through and scary too!
But it always helps to share experiences and feel better understood.
Sorry to hear what happened to you as a child.
I wish you the best and you will be fine!
