Can anyone tell me about "concious sedation"?
I am having 13 extractions and an immediate upper denture put in on Friday. My dentist gave told me to take two 5mg diazepam an hour before bed on the night before the procedure, then take two .25mg triazolam an hour before the surgery, then two more 5mg diazepam at bedtime the same night after the procedure. He said I won't remember anything after gerting to the office. Has anyone else had this "cocktail"? And if so how did it work for you? I was told that although I would be awake and know what was going on, that I wouldn't care at the time and then wouldn't remember at all. It makes me nervous to think I will be aware of what is happening at the time. I had IV sedation for my wisdom teeth and really didn't remember anything, but that was different medicine with an IV so I'm sure it will be different.
